Countdown To Class

Howdy!

I know, its been awhile.  I shit you not when I say I've been really busy. I wanted to try and write another book over the holiday....nope.  I wanted to get some reading done....nope.  I wanted to get a jumpstart on my upcoming classes by looking over the texts.....uh.....nope. BUT, I have managed to get all three bedrooms painted.  Managed to get new curtains up and some more decor put into place.  Overall its been days of trying to watch kids while getting shit done.  They went back to school last week but Sydneys school has sewage issues so she ended up staying home 2 of the 3 days last week.  I'm hoping this wont be an issue this week because Joe is having his skin cancer surgery tomorrow and Wednesday and I have to be available to drive him. Ugh.  I also have my own doctor thing going on Wednesday and dentist on Friday.....I told you I was busy.

Mom has decided to leave on the 15th but wants to come back because our weather is so nice.  She didnt plan to stay more than a few weeks and its been over a month I think. So she'll drive back and take care of some stuff and drive back down in a few weeks I guess.

Joe recently went through a bad patch ( mid-life crisis anyone?) and seems to be feeling better the past week.  He is happy that the house is taking shape and even suggested that we STAY here and NOT sell. (picture me staring at him in disbelief) and then screaming NO.  After all he put he through we are not staying here. For many of my own reasons I will not live in the country again. It will go on the market in April.

We're going out to pick up paint for the kitchen tonight.  That will leave the living room and hallway the only rooms not painted.  I'm scared of that vaulted ceiling and we may leave it white. Dunno.

Ok, well, gotta run. Hope you had a great New Years. We shot off some fireworks at about 8pm and everyone was in bed by 10pm. I stayed up to watch the ball drop. No surprises there.
