Child #2 didnt get into the IB program. I'm dazed and disappointed. I got the letter yesterday saying that she was an "alternate". So I guess she want rejected so it isnt ALL bad. I immediately called the director, not to be a nuisance, but I wanted to know where on the waiting list she is. Of course she cant tell me, she said "she isnt at the very top but she's closer to the top than to the middle" great. thanks. Now I have to tell the child. shit. Which I did and there was some tears. She recovered pretty quickly though and I'm being as positive and supportive as I can. There is still a chance she could get in next year at some time but we wont hold our breath. And so.....life goes on.
Aunt Flow arrived this morning. oh joy. I weigh in at 141, of course.
